Legion Website

The American Legion is a community service organization that works to preserve the rights of war veterans. When they initially asked me to help rebuild their established website they had a number of guidelines, simple, clean and accessible.

Whilst the American Legion is a massive organization boasting memberships in their millions, this site was intended to act on a more local scale within the district and environs of Arizona, their local organization is more commonly referred to as Post 96.

I used Drupal with the AT theme as a based and built a child theme on top of that base to aid with the use of the site within small screen devices to ensure that it is accessible across the myriad of devices out there today. The main purpose of the site is to help draw attention to and publicise events and new information that may be valuable to their many members.

Drupal Association Individual Member

The Drupal Association is an organization dedicated to helping the open-source Drupal CMS project flourish.

What is Drupal?

Drupal is a free software package that allows an individual, a community of users, or an enterprise to easily publish, manage and organize a wide variety of content on a website.

Drupal is open-source software distributed under the GPL ("GNU General Public License") and is maintained and developed by a community of thousands of users and developers. Although Drupal is often described as a "content management system" (CMS), it is also a "content management framework" (CMF). In other words, unlike a typical CMS, it is geared more towards configuration and customization.
